Arlington County Water Pollution Control Plant - Arlington County, VA
The Arlington County is currently expanding and upgrading the capacity of its Water Pollution Control Plant in Alexandria, Virginia. Environ-Civil Engineering is a part of the Construction Management team that provides quality assurance inspection of the construction using the contract documents.
Chestertown WWTP (BNR) Improvements - Chestertown, MD
Under the Water Quality Infrastructure Program (WQIP), ECE under contract to Brinjac Engineering, Inc. provided professional services for monitoring construction projects in the Eastern Shore Region of Maryland. ECE activities included monitoring of construction projects related to water and wastewater treatment plants, attend project construction progress meetings, prepare and submit “Construction Monitoring Report” to WQIP on a monthly basis, submit the timesheet and breakdown of cost which identifies the associated task performed to WQIP on a monthly basis, and prepare and submit the projected monitoring activities for the following month to WQIP.
Seneca WWTP Ultra Violet Disinfection Upgrades – Germantown, MD
ECE Provided construction monitoring during the construction of the Ultra violet disinfection at Seneca WWTP. The construction was to upgrade the existing chlorination disinfection system to an ultraviolet disinfection system, and it involved demolition/modification of the existing tertiary facility chlorination/dechlorination system.
Glen Mill Pump Station - City of Rockville, MD
ECE provided monitoring during the construction activities for the Glen Mill Pump station construction. Construction was for new fresh water pump station and SCADA system.
Patuxent Elementary School Gymnasium
ECE provided engineering materials testing and inspection services during the construction of the school gymnasium.
Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant, Addition No. 6 - Savage MD
ECE provided construction management and inspection services at the Plant. The following services were offered during the construction of the project: participation in the owner’s pre-bid conference for contractors, participation in construction contract pre-bid/construction meetings, participation in Construction Management’s weekly and monthly construction progress meetings and coordination of meetings, preparation of progress reports during construction and in maintaining effective public and political relations, referring to technical requirements of the Contract Documents when required and providing construction inspection services. Daily inspections of the civil and structural disciplines were made to determine if the work was progressing in accordance with the Contract Document. We took appropriate steps to guard the client against defects and deficiencies in the work of the contractor(s) and made oral or written reports of any such observations to the client. We coordinated technical inspections and testing (concrete, soil compaction, etc.) and advised the client of significant deviations, defects or deficiencies in the work. Recommendations for corrective action on non-conforming or delayed work were made.
